Transparency Serbia Supports the Work of Republican Board for Resolving Conflict of Interest

Transparency Serbia , as an organization which advocates for appropriate legal framework in the field of conflict of public and private interest, monitors Law on Prevention of Conflict of Interest enforcement. In that sense TS wants to inform the public about promising first results of the Republican Board for Resolving of Conflict of Interest work.

In less than a two months time from its establishment, Board has already prepared most of the by-laws necessary for its work. That task was accomplished without necessary budget, space and supporting service. Board has also drafted the form of the Report, which all officials will be obliged to fulfil and submit in one month. As soon as this form is published in the “Official Gazette”, the new era in the Law enforcement will start. Officials will be obliged to submit their assets, financial and other interests in the unique form of the Report.

Transparency Serbia expects the Board to work even more efficiently, especially dealing with many unsolved alleged conflict of interest cases, as soon as all preconditions necessary for its work (such as space and supporting service) are fulfilled.
