Publishing of new Global Corruption Barometer for 2009

Global Corruption Barometer is one of the most quality researches of corruption phenomenon which has for goal not only to examine how people see corruption in institutions, but also to examine how present is citizens' experience with corruption.

Research was created by Gallup International and Transparency International . This year, research is conducted parallel in 69 states and territories from all continents and presents the answers of 73,132 people in total . Research in Serbia is conducted by agency TNS Medium Gallup with sample of 1015 examinees, in November 2008 . Serbia was included in Global Barometer in 2005, 2006 and 2007 (GCB was not conducted in 2008),which will allow us to present differences in this year's research in relation to previous years.

As part of Global Corruption Barrometer we will present:

    • Citizens' impresion on corrutpion widespreadness in Serbia and in which level oppinion of bussinismen and risk analysysts corresponds to citizens'?
    • How do citizens evaluate activities of governemnt to fight corruption?
    • How often did citizens of Serbia bribed during 2008.and in which sectors?
    • What is the amount of average bribe?

Results of research for Serbia will help us realise the scope of corruption in Serbia, which areas are most problematic and how do we stand in regards to neighbourng countries and other countries in transition.
