Themes of the conference :

 

At this press conference we will talk about how much is process of preparation and adoption of the Law in Serbia public and in which level insufficient publicity of this process represents danger for corruption in legislation process . This matter is especially actual in the context of recent events ( withdrawing of Law from procedure the day before beginning of debate ; lobbing for changes of draft of the Law ; misplaced civil initiative for adoption of the law ). At the same time we will suggest possible solutions for greater publicity of legislation process .

 

Second theme will especially emphasize current situation with the control of financing of political parties , announcement that Financing Committee will organize control of party reports for 2007, as well as matter of control of reports on financing of campaign from 2008, which republic Election Commission hasn't performed .

 

Third theme of the agenda will present the most important events from National Assembly ' s work which is significant for implementation of National Anticorruption Strategy (adoption of the law , choosing of officials , acting on reports of independent organs ).
