Position of RAEM and cash flows to media

That will take place in Belgrade, Media Center, Terazije 3 / II floor

Thursday, 23 July 2015 with the beginning at 11.00 o'clock

Preliminary agenda:

11.00 – 11.15              Presentation of general findings of the research and recommendations, Nemanja Nenadić, Program Director, Transparency - Serbia;

11.15 – 11.25              Nenad Janković, Secretary General, Regulatory Authority of Electronic Media;

11.25 – 11.35              Dragan Kremer, Media Program Coordinator, Fund for an Open Society Serbia;

11.35 – 12.00              Discussion.

Some of the topics that will be discussed:

How much did the electronic media spend for broadcasting licenses? How did the Regulatory Authority of Electronic Media spend money from licenses? Could internal organization of this authority be more efficient? How did RAEM implement procurements? Is the information on spending surplus of assets that RAEM returned to budget available? How much money is being distributed for the purpose of public informing in tenders organized by the Ministry of Culture and Media? What can be done to make media cash flow more transparent?

If we do not get constrained with the time limit we will also refer to other burning issues – lessons from this year's tender for co-financing of public informing programs by new rules, consequences for delay in changes of Statute and missing to adopt financial plan of RAEM for 2015, appropriateness of using public assets...

Implementation of the project „Position of RBA and cash flows to media“is supported by Fund for an Open Society Serbia.
